1900 Apr 17 Hopkinsville Kentuckian: With wife, son Thomas of Clarksville and brother J.M Binns and wife of Cadiz left yesterday for the Paris Exposition. They will stopover in Evansville one day and spend two days at Niagra Falls before going to New York. They will sail from the latter city for Scotland next Saturday and from there they will go to Paris. The party will be absent for about two months. The Binns brothers are natives of England, but have been living in this country for many years. This is Mr Walter Binns’ first visit to the old country in 29 years and it has been about 30 years since Mr. J. M. Binns visited his old home.

1906 Jul 7 Hopkinsville Kentuckian: CUSTOM SAW MILL. Binns Milling Co., of Pee Dee Branching Out: The Binns Milling Co., which is operating one of the best flour mills in the county, at Pee Dee, is putting up a saw mill within three and a half miles of the Clarksville and Princeton branch of the L&N.
The mill is of the latest and best make and will be under the charge of Mr. R. A. Peck, who, for twenty years has had charge of the Ellis Ice Co.’s plant here and has had long experience with saw mill machinery. There are plenty of oak, gum, walnut, poplar and other trees for lumber in the section where the mill is being put up, and company expects to begin sawing next week. The company will saw up logs for any one carrying them to the mill, or buy logs.

1913 Mar 28 Kentucky New Era: Herndon; Mr Peck of the Binns Milling Company has been injured. Mr Walter Binns has returned home from a several months visit to London. He was accompanied by his nephew, Mr Ronald Hutchinson. Mrs Walter Binns and sister Miss Agnes Feary returned home after spending winter in Florida.

1926 Nov 8 Cadiz Record and Nov 11 Hopkinsville New Era: Mr. Binns had lived at Pee Dee this county for many years and retired from business several years ago and after living in Florida for two years, moved to Piqua, Ohio. As a boy of 21, Mr. Binns came to America from England and settled in Christian county among the pioneers of this county. He had charge of the Binns Mill for some twenty to twenty five years. He is survived by his wife and six sons and daughters. Tom and Forrest Binns, of Winter Haven, Ala; Allie, Daisey, Mrs. J. W. Dawson and Ernest of Pee Dee, and George and Stanley of Cincinnati, Ohio.
