1861 Birth Certificate BXBZ 311002 of 12th September 2001 shows Birth 18 August 1861 in district of Halifax, Sub-District Ovenden, Anna Louisa, father Wilkinson Binns, mother Martha Binns formerly Atkinson, father's occupation Tailor Master, residence New Grange, Ovenden, date registered 23rd September 1861.
1871 Census, daughter living with family age 9, scholar, born Halifax.
1881 Census living at 44 Chapel Lane Oakworth. Draper's assistant. Age 19.

Never married and lived at home with her parents where she was treated like a servant. In her fathers will she was left " all my plate linen china glass books pictures furniture and other household effects".
