1857 Oct 23 Stamford Mercury: Frank Binns was charged with using obscene and abusive language to Mr J S Reed and was fined 5s and 12s costs. The magistrate observed that he regretted that the punishment last week had not prevented repetition of the offence.

1864 Jul 22 Lincolnshire Chronicle: William Woolley charged with having stolen a shovel and iron pail from Frank Binns, stonemason, his former employer. Guilty sentenced to 1 month with hard labour
1866 Nov 9 Stamford Mercury: The burial board agreed after much grumbling to pay the bill of Mr Frank Binns for £77 6s 3d it being nearly twice as much as the contract through no fault of the contractor
1867 Jan 5 Lincolnshire Chronicle: Charles Wilkinson was charged with absenting himself for an hour and a half and refusing to obey the orders of his master Frank Binns. Wilkinsons father compensted Binns and cancell the indentures on payment of £13 to settle the case.

1880 Nottinghamshire Guardian: Lincoln County Court Frank Binns, builder and contractor residing at Bracebridge, was sued by Thomas Dixon Priestley. In 1878 Binns had done some additions to the church at Leverton and engaged Priestley to do some painting. Architect refused to pass the quality of the painting and Priestley redid what was necessary. Binns refused to pay for the extra work. Found for Binns.
