From Piety Promoted 1787 to 1867: Martha Williams of Neath in Glamorganshire was the daughter of John and Abigail Binns, of Carlton Biggin, near Skipton, in Yorkshire, and was born the fifth month, 1710. At about the twent-eighth year of her age, she found it her duty to bear a public testimony to the suffiency of that Power, which had visited her. In 1745, she married Ambrose Williams and settled in Pont-y-pool, in Monmouthshire. She frequently visited Friends in most parts of England and Wales and was twice in Ireland. The latter part of her life she lived with her son-in-law and daughter Evan and Elizabeth Rees, of Neath. She departed this life at Neath, the 19th of the Second month 1788, and was interred in the Friends burial ground at Swansea on the 24th of the same age 78; and a minister about 50 years.
