1847 May 13 Discharged as Private from the 68th Light Infantry, age 39, service included over 14 years of overseas service including Gibraltar, Jamaica and Canada. He was discharged for exhaustion with the notation "Character has been - very good". Good conduct pay and three badges of distinction.
