1864 Aug 5 Leeds Mercury: Emmanuel Binns involved in a situation in Harden where a Mr Watmuff, mill owner was in dispute with the leaders of the church in Harden. Watmuff said that he would dismiss his workers who went to church and among those was Emanuel Binns who was learning to be an overlooker, and his sister. Their mother was also interviewed.
